Who are we?
We are Invisible’s Automation Team. We solve problems at scale so they never happen again. At our best, we solve problems before they happen. How?
We Believe That
-- Invisible is a world-changing company and the Automation Team is responsible for creating the systems that will launch Invisible into the stratosphere
-- Exponential gains from systems > Short term linear work > Systems for system's sake
-- Consistent feedback is key - we are addicted to learning and getting better
-- What one of us knows, all of us should know
-- Every new mistake is a learning opportunity
Because of these beliefs, we’ve built a team where
-- Distributed approaches and centralized intelligence merge. Each teammate is constantly innovating and trying something new. Every mistake is prevented by all. Every success is learned by all.
-- Each of us contains the sum of the knowledge, intelligence, and creativity of our entire team.
-- We evolve and mutate constantly like an organism, identifying successful and problematic tactics and incorporating ideas from any source.
What we do?
What do we do? We create magic, with the speed of light. We solve problems for our clients, using technology. The problems we solve are “point solutions”, “quick solutions” and at times “longer projects”. We “automate”, “scrape”, “compare”, “search”, use “APIs”, fill “forms”, create “plugins”.
Invisible's Wizards team prefers:
“Speed” “Speed” “Speed”
“Creativity” over “Objectivity”
“Pragmatism” over “Idealism”
“Communications” over “intermittent”
“Extreme Agility” over “Set in stone priorities”
Wizards team members are measured on ROI. Higher ROI >> Higher Performance >> Higher Rate >> Higher Pay.
Your day starts with standup where you’re checking/rechecking the status, updating the team on priorities.
Your day ends with a feeling of “accomplishment” and “looking forward to killing more challenges”.
And in between that:
You are checking in with internal clients for new opportunities and identifying problems to slay.
You are creating clear and concise specifications for your team.
You’re creating plans, communicating them to leadership/internal clients and hitting deadlines.
You’re defining business outcomes, target metrics and leading the team to hit them.
You are getting your team members unstuck.
You are giving constant and constructive feedback to the team members, mentoring them to become better at wizardry.
You are totally hands-on - you’re writing database queries to understand data patterns, reviewing code/fixing/deploying it.
You are in hyper-drive mode in case of client issues and are restless till a solution is reached.
You are a creative problem solver - you understand the value of getting stuff done creatively, quickly and then spending time to finesse.
You get high on learning a new trick, coming across a new tech and sharing it with your team.
You are dreaming up new ideas all the time.
