HARNESS needs a junior web developer for our team. This is a great opportunity for a self-motivated individual looking to join a US-based marketing agency. We work with clients in the outdoor industry, such as skiing, climbing, surfing, etc. Fun clients with fun projects to work on.

Our deadlines are always realistic, and we never micromanage. We are looking for a developer who can work independently and collaborate with a remote team of designers, video producers, content writers, and marketers. You must take ownership of the task and produce professional work with minimum supervision. If you are the type that doesn't need a lot of hand-holding or oversight, then please apply.

This is an entry-level developer position. You will work with a stellar team in our business's web and app development department, including our senior interactive media designer, and consult with the Las Vegas team daily for standup meetings.

We are a privately held marketing company that is rapidly expanding. We offer competitive salaries, promote from within, and offer continuing education. 

The position is remote telecommuting, so you would work from home or wherever you find convenient. You must be willing to work between US Mountain Time. Half of our team works from 1pm to 9 pm Mountain Time.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Experience with a wide array of CMS platforms with the requisite experience in Shopify, WordPress, Wix, and Squarespace.
  • Experience developing custom emails for email-sending platforms such as MailChimp, Hubspot, Etc.
  • Design and develop eCommerce websites' UI layer using HTML, CSS, XSLT, JavaScript, JQuery and Wicket.
  • Work with developers, system engineers, and QA engineers throughout the product development, testing, and implementation.
  • Create HTML templates and React Components based on user interface design team mockups.
  • Create, edit, and manage web templates within our content management systems.
  • Interface with web services using REST APIs.
  • Stay current on technical advancements and suggest ways to streamline tasks and processes for efficiency.
  • The ideal candidate will have the following experience and qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with HTML, XSLT, JavaScript, JQuery, and CSS is required.
  • Experience with Tag Management Systems like Google Tag Manager is desirable.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Web Analytics tools like Google Analytics and implementation of these tools.
  • Must excel in a fast-paced, interactive, cross-functional team environment. 
  • Must have clear oral and written communication skills.
