Product Manager full time

Springer Nature HQ: Lisbon, Portugal Remote job Apr 9

At Springer Nature we are dedicated to providing the best possible service to the research community. We help authors to share their discoveries; enable researchers to find, access and understand the work of others.

Peer review is at the heart of that process. Academics generously dedicate their time and knowledge to examine each other’s work, offering much-valued constructive criticism and improving the published research.

Our product teams constantly strive to make the process of peer reviewing better, easier and more rewarding through strong focus on researcher needs, use of new solutions and challenging the status quo.

We are looking for a creative and entrepreneurial product manager to own and guide this effort, working with cross-functional teams to deliver researcher satisfaction and long-term value for the business.

Key tasks:

  • Lead the vision, strategy and development of products
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer problems and pain points and work with the team to solve the right problem, in the right way and at the right time
  • Create and execute a product roadmap
  • Bring the stakeholders along on the journey and ensure your product delivers against business goals
  • Collaborate with other teams across Springer Nature to align plans and unblock developments
  • Be the evangelist for your product and champion product development best practice, acting as a bridge between technology and the business

Skills/knowledge:

  • Passionate about product and solving problems
  • Able to inspire, motivate and drive cross-functional teams
  • Ability to demonstrate strong user focus
  • Within given constraints, the ability to run and learn from rapid experiments
  • Ability to make sense of and release value from complexity and ambiguity
  • Usual suspects: Excellent collaboration, communication and stakeholder management skills

Experience:

● Solid experience building products that solve problems for users in a way that works for the business
