Overview:

As a USAID Subject Matter Expert and Training Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the training initiatives of MZN International on accessing the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). Your responsibilities will primarily involve assisting in the planning, coordination, execution, and evaluation of training programs designed to enhance the capacity and skills of participants seeking to access USAID. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to fostering learning and professional development within the USAID community.

**What we are expecting from you **

Training Program Support:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of training programs, workshops, and events focused on various aspects of international development, including project management, monitoring and evaluation, financial management, and technical areas relevant to USAID's mission.

Training Material Development:

  • Support the development of training materials, presentations, and resources in collaboration, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and alignment with USAID's objectives and guidelines.
  • Organize and maintain a repository of training materials, manuals, and resources for easy access by participants and trainers.

Participant Management:

  • Assist in maintaining accurate records of participant attendance, evaluations, and other relevant data to track training outcomes and measure effectiveness.

Training Delivery Assistance:

  • Provide on-site support during training sessions, including setup and technical support for audiovisual equipment, distribution of materials, and assistance to trainers and facilitators as needed.
  • Deliver course modules both in person and online. 
  • Monitor training sessions to ensure adherence to schedule, participant engagement, and resolution of any logistical or technical issues that may arise.

Evaluation and Reporting:

  • Assist in the evaluation of training programs through participant surveys, assessments, and feedback mechanisms to identify areas for improvement and inform future training activities.
  • Contribute to the preparation of training reports, summaries, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and lessons learned.

What you will bring to the table

  • Bachelor's degree in international development, education, business administration, or related field.
  • Experience working in a training or capacity-building role, preferably within the context of international development or humanitarian assistance.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders, including USAID staff, partners, and vendors.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility, adaptability, and a positive attitude towards learning and professional growth.
  • Experience in applying for and accessing USAID. 
  • Familiarity with USAID policies, procedures, and programs is desirable but not required.
