I am a native English speaker from Ireland with a degree in History, as well as being a qualified teacher. After years of proofreading and editing academic work, both in an unofficial and professional capacity, I decided to step into the freelance world under the name of Great Annotations- a homage to Charles Dickens, and to my love of literature. My enthusiasm for history and classic literature led me to focus on editing historical and literary works, whether factual or fictional. Ten years spent as an educator have also fostered a keen interest in educational research and a desire to keep on top of the latest educational trends, so I am keen to take on any work that helps in this pursuit. My love of reading and penchant for grammar (not forgetting my meticulous attention to detail) makes proofreading and editing more than a job- it is a passion!

Having lived in Barcelona for seven years, I am a fluent Spanish speaker and am available for translation services from Spanish to English, and vice versa. My linguistic skills have also provided me with an excellent ear, allowing me to expand to transcription services for audio and video files.
