Let me start with what I believe is the most important part of being on any team.
Collaborating and listening.
Why is that so important? Well, because selling yourself as a Humbly Confident Growth Content Writer should ALWAYS kick off with some Vanilla Ice lyrics. Right?
I’m just gonna come right out and say it. I think Vanilla Ice was a prophetic “voice calling in the wilderness.” I’m convinced he was a truly inspired harbinger of what makes a solid, driven team in 2019.
In my 15 years juggling a bunch of different roles from Content Specialist to Marketing Director, I’ve learned that collaborating, sharing ideas and genuinely hearing what others have to say is the first step to creating the goodest of content and the bestest of marketing teams. Yeah, I said goodest and bestest. Words are fun (even made-up ones!).
When it comes to qualifications, I do bring some serious chops. Creating content of all shapes and sizes is what I do best. I’ve put my signature on everything from informational articles to creative blog posts, technical writing to social media blurbs. Emails, press releases, ad copy, instructions on how to jiggle your worm to catch the biggest bass in the lake (true story). You get the idea.
On top of the writing experience, I’ve had the benefit of working remotely for the past 6 years. This wonderful world of working in my pajamas for most of the day is not new to me. I really do love it and I thrive in the remote environment. Slack me a project, give me a deadline and be ready to get it back as fast as I can crank it out. After it’s been edited 25 times with some serious “Howie Mandel Level” OCD though.
