Some of the projects I worked on:

• I was the main developer on a application to create and manage a network of sites. The application was to be a SaaS. It undergo multiple transformation, started as a PHP Yii application, was rewriten in Python, Flask. Features were added, internet.bs integration was added, limited server administration through Ansible was added. The application initially handled only one type of site, other types of sites were added.
• Web scrapers. I have worked on a number of scrapers written in PHP or Python, with and without Scrapy. I have made a scraper using Selenium to automate the interaction with the page .
• Web bot, I managed a team of two, working on a distributed web bot, written in Python using PhantomJs and Selenium to perform a series of actions based on a set of configuration files.
• Ansible coupling to a web administration interface. I have made a web interface to start the instalation of a few different software packages on the target servers through Ansible.
• Building and managing a group of video tube sites averaging 1 million to 2 million pageviews per day. The sites were build using PHP, MongoDB, Sphinx Search Engine, Memcached and hosted on Ubuntu Linux and Nginx.
• Visual editor for a text generator writen in Java, using SimpleNLGFr library.
• Optimized multi-language text generator written in Python, using Nltk and SpaCy
• Wrote a Wordpress plugin to retrieve custom generated content from a server. The customer paid a subscription for the access to the API.
• Wrote a web traffic analytics application using MongoDb because Piwik (now Matomo) couldn’t handle the traffic. The application was used, but was abandoned because we started using a paid service with more features.
• Matomo (formerly Piwik) integration. We needed web analytics for a group of sites spread over a few servers. I wrote a script that gathered pageview information in a queue, locally, on each server, and every few seconds sent it to the Piwik server through a PHP API. The integration was made after we stopped using the paid analytics service mentioned above.
• Installed, configured and used Zabbix to monitor a group of servers.
