For two years I have worked with an organization which translates religious publications from English to several local languages in Uganda - Runyankore, Rutoro, Lukhonzo and Luganda. The scope of work included translating, proofreading and compositing/Editing. Some material that we translated material was meant to be audio, which I would record using Pro Tools software and later edit it for posting on the client's website. Other material that we translated was meant for videos that were being prepared in the local languages for website upload. After translating the material as a team, as audio technician I would ensure it is recorded according to the desired preference, that is, Narration, Voice-over or Lip-sync. After recording, I would edit the audio, mix it and then compile it with the Video and then do a video editing of the Onscreen text, subtitles, and other desired textual material, using Final Cut Pro.
