Writing has been a passion of mine from the moment I learned to read. I was completely enthralled by the idea of words put together to communicate thoughts and express emotions.
This love affair deepened all the more when I discovered that the written word could bring to life exciting adventures via vivid descriptions and transport me to places through the pages of a printed vehicle at absolutely no cost to me at all.
Writing has proven to be a joy to me personally because my culture and background is more inclined to oral tradition and storytelling around the crackling night fire. Details tend to get hazy and variant versions of the same narration emerge with time, a bit like in the game of ‘’Chinese Whispers’’. What you say today maybe said differently on another occasion but what is written down will be the same regardless of how long ago it was penned and by whom.
Writing makes sense of some of the confusion that can be going on in the mind which, if left unchecked, can lead to a myriad of problems. I love writing. Writing is for me one of the truest forms of artist expression ever discovered.
