James Preen

Although my experience in the industry is little, I have spent the past three years in Bristol (UK's leading music city) studying Electronic Music Production at dBs, graduating with a 2:1 Honours in Bachelor of Arts.

My strengths involve having a key interest in creating and designing soundscapes with a keen ear for detail. Fellow strong skills are composition arrangements and musical theory, being able to produce a well structured composition, capturing a specific emotion. I believe to be well organised, making me an efficient team worker. I believe communication is an absolute within projects, bouncing ideas and feedback back and forth, resulting in an overall improvement to the project.

The experience I have had involves collaborating with a pub-restaurant in Hereford, UK, creating an eerie soundscape for a Halloween promotion video. Other experiences include working on a short film for a Bristol-based film maker, constructing all sound aspects of the short time, such as the music and foley used.

With my skill-sets and past experience, I thrive to become a professional in this field of work, hoping to collaborate with a vary of people and media.
