Jessica Tallarico

I have a Master of Arts in International Affairs and certifications in Personal Training and Holistic Nutrition. I have a very diverse skill set, ranging from grant research and proposal writing for fundraising, to business development, revenue management, project management, and client relationship building.

I had a great ability to lead and work cohesively in a team environment as proven by my community development work in rural Colombia, where I advocated for the inclusion of cultural programming in the municipality’s schools, and a youth voice in policy for tourism promotion.

In my previous position as a Business Development Analyst with CanChild at McMaster University, in representing the research center, my priority was to foster relationships of great trust when working with various stakeholders on license agreements.

In fulfilling the role of Project Coordinator at Fundación Nutriamor, I was charged with leading an interdisciplinary team of nutritionists, food engineers, business administrators, and development experts through the elaboration of a socially innovative product-a supplement made from fortified green banana flour. As part of my responsibilities, I was constantly interacting with members of the public, private and social sectors; engaging with government officials at the State level, and project teams at other NGOs through interviews and meetings to make the distribution of the supplement more widespread. Furthermore, I collaborated in developing a business plan, wrote grant proposals, oversaw project activities and allocated resources appropriately through budget planning.

Currently, I am working on building my small business as a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner where I apply all of the above skills, in addition, being in great service to others by helping them achieve their health-related goals.
