John Christian T. Pestaño

I am John Christian Pestaño, a 39 year old Jack of All Trades. I have been in the Pharmaceutical Industry for 12 years, starting as a Marketing Representative and ending up as a Area Manager for Marketing. I have been assigned all over the country to promote pharmaceutical products to doctors, hospitals and pharmacies. Because of this, I have vast experience in marketing (in its many forms), local travel (by car, bus, boat, airplane), local food (all local cuisine imaginable), and personal adventures.

Presently I am a Plant and Marketing Manager for an Institutional Laundry Company. I handle everything that happens within the Plant: from Operations, to Marketing, Personnel, Machinery, Chemicals and Supplies, Vehicles, Safety and Cleanliness, and all the clients that we serve (which range from Hospitals, Hotels, Resorts, Restaurants, Health Spas, and even Police Training Centers). Its a very tiring job, but it pays the bills. I have been slugging it out for 3 years and counting, so I may say that I am quite experienced in this field as well.

Having been exposed to different suppliers (of my present job), I also have been exposed to different opportunities as well. Which, no matter how busy or tired I may be, I am wont to try out. Thus, I'm an entrepreneur of sorts as I have my own home business: processing and selling purified water in my neighborhood. I pick up and deliver water before I go to my day job, and continue the same process after work. My day can be pretty tiring.

But what drives me? Is it perhaps the bills that have to be paid? Well, I can't deny that. But to put it in perspective, I'm happily married, and I have two kids, a house, and a car. All of which I am proud of, but also consciously aware of having costs and bills to catch up to. Even with these responsibilities, I continue to dream. I feel that I am destined for greater things, that is what fuels my passion for work.

I may classify myself as a middle aged, middle income earner. In my free time I like to watch TV and surf the internet. I like reading online articles, and watching videos on different websites. I am amazed at the information that the internet has. I believe that a "Generation X or Baby Boomer" like me can contribute my own experience and expertise to any company or person who may find my profile to their liking.
