A great wise man ones said “Luck is when preparation meats opportunity.” Meaning that with proper preparation you can achieve all of your goals.

That quote has pretty much define how and why I do things. Hi! I’m Julio from the Dominican Republic, I live in a small but beautiful tropical island in the Caribbean. I’m creative, experience computer savvy, Fluid English skills, well spoken, native Spanish, with a college degree in engineering in systems.

I’m currently working as Head of the IT department in a Bilingual Call Center: DR OCEAN Enterprises, based in Florida, basically the place where I’ve grown as an individual, met a lot of wonderful people and honestly learned all I know.

I’m looking to change my job and position in the company, knowing that my family is first, I want to be able to work from home and have the freedom of working in my home alongside my wife in the state where I live, and stop traveling every weekend just to be able to work in a different state like I’m doing right now.

I’ve always been really passionate about the English language, learning for me was fun really, at an early age I went to study at the Dominico Americano English Course in Santo Domingo, and from that point on I basically taught myself, doing everything I possible could do to learn and improve my English skills whether it was speaking to random people, music, movies, online courses and YouTube.

Since I was a kid I knew that what I wanted to study was engineering, because I was a geek basically! And really enjoyed computers and solving problems, installing new programs, fixing computers and testing new gadgets. I when to O&M University where I studied for 4 years and got my degree while I was working at a small office doing data entry. 2 years later I when to get a job at a bigger place where I could use my abilities and keep learning and found one as a Sales Rep in DR OCEAN Enterprises, I was on the phones for almost 2 years then got a promotion as a Tech Support Rep, after a years later got promoted again in the position I’m currently in.

I’m also passionate about online marketing, love it! Mainly because marketing was not a career in which I originally thought when I entered the university. However, after the years of being on the internet and seeing everything I could do on my computer, workwise, and also the freedom that it gives you the internet, knowledge and time to do what you really want with the people you love and the what makes you happy, I realized that it was that what I really wanted to do with my life. It's funny how that happens. If you asked me if I would end up marketing as a career, I would have told you that you are crazy. Guess what? You are not so crazy after all. Marketing is a wonderful discipline. If I had to start all over again, I would not change anything.
