In addition I was required to discover and appoint a new long term quantity surveyor for the business to replace a retired member of staff. My contract allowed the company principles to devote more of their time to the overseeing of on site works, design and the winning of new contracts and work to allow the business to flourish. LTD, Dublin Jan ’01-Dec ‘16 Ferrum Trading Company has been supplying the Irish manufacturing and metal working industries since 1947, offering a range of mild steel products and cutting service for beams and columns. Director/Company Secretary ● ● Developed and implemented a strategic 3 year business plan which restored the company to profit after several years of losses. The turnaround was achieved with a combination of 10% cost savings across the company and a 30% increase in sales through both sourcing new customer's and increasing turnover with existing customers.
