Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond my control neither of these came to fruition.

Building and development company based in County Wicklow and carrying out work nationwide and
in London and Europe. Building new as well as refurbishing houses and offices to high standards for
discerning customers.
I was hired for a 6 month contract as the Commercial manager to oversee the transformation and
modernisation of the office. I was hired to introduce new technology and develop new systems for
HR issues, materials purchasing, payroll, and bill of quantity pricing and customer liaising. In addition
I was required to discover and appoint a new long term quantity surveyor for the business to replace
a retired member of staff.
My contract allowed the company principles to devote more of their time to the overseeing of on
site works, design and the winning of new contracts and work to allow the business to flourish.

Developed and implemented a strategic 3 year business plan which restored the company to
profit after several years of losses. The turnaround was achieved with a combination of 10% cost
savings across the company and a 30% increase in sales through both sourcing new customer's
and increasing turnover with existing customers.

within the industry to further consolidate the return to profit. This increased sales by 15-20%

costs by 30% over a 24 month period. This involved the renegotiation of service contracts, early
retirement packages for long term staff, placing all telecommunications online and the
modernisation of both IT and material handling equipment to reduce operational cost.
Selected, procured and integrated a new purchasing, sales, payroll and accounting IT system
from the Access group.
