About

• Build relationships with the department of education offices
• Coordinate schools visits according to an annual plan approved by EXCO
• Ensure that information on aviation careers is up to date and accurate
• Conduct presentations on careers in aviation
• Coordinate attendance of learners at air show, (organize transport and catering for the learners)
• Liaise with air show organisers for SACAA to attend the air show
• Effectively communicate safety and security messages using all necessary communication mediums
• Plan and coordinate seminars, workshops, air shows, exhibitions and other events in collaboration with the relevant department’s stakeholders
• Source venues, recommend and engage catering, acquire supporting technology and coordinate development of materials to execute a quality event
• Coordinate suppliers, handling client queries and troubleshooting on the day of the event to ensure that all runs smoothly
• Conduct post-event evaluation (including data entry and analysis and producing reports).
• Present and deliver service excellence
• Ensure that the database of industry members is updated regularly
• Collate information for the production of promotional materials and ensure accuracy thereof
• Develop and procure promotional materials
• Ensure good quality of promotional materials and that they are distributed at relevant events
• Ensure stock levels are maintained
• Ensure that stock is reconciled against what was requested, used and returned for an event
• Ensure that the vehicle is kept in a good condition and that mileage records are kept up to date
• Quality of all admin support services provided
• Local and international travel arrangements done accurately, timely and professionally, flights, car hire and accommodation
• Office stationery and other items timely procured
• Ensuring that the Director’s deadlines and are adhered to (submissions of board meetings (Minister of Transport at DoT)
• Managing a pending/follow up system for the Office of the Director which must be distributed weekly to all GM’s related issues and dealt with appropriately
• Meeting of deadlines and ad hoc requirements
• Accuracy and timely typing of minutes
• Quality of assistance to management with the preparation for presentations
