Tan Hui Rong

I am currently an undergraduate actuarial science student in Asia Pacific University. I have been actively participating in the Actuarial Club, Korean Dance Club, Chinese Language Cultural Society community and various volunteer events. This has allowed me to communicate with different people from different background which helped in enhancing my interpersonal skills. I have experienced in design the first version of newsletter of Malaysia Actuarial Student Association (MASA). These experiences have allowed me to develop excellent leadership skills and able to work as a team member at the same time.

Apart from that, I am a self-disciplined and highly motivated individual who always strive for solving complex problems. In addition to my work experience, I have experience in part-time job as a clerk assistant. Moreover, I am currently sitting for SOA Exam which allow me to improve self-discipline as it required lots of self-study which is very important when seeking to work as an actuary. Here are some of the skills that I possess which I find will be beneficial to your company, such as the ability to multi-task, being able to do various difficult work while coping with stress, and the talent of working independently as well as in a team.
