A self-taught full stack software engineer capable of building, deploying, and managing any software project end to end. I am experienced in building software using both legacy and modern tech, I’ve worked on and deployed everything from PHP drupal projects to Golang microservices.
I am very capable of leading project from both a human and technical perspective. In my 3 years of professional experience, I have worked on many different teams executing a wide variety of tasks, both as a leader and not.
Some of my most notable work would be my time at rubix.io, where I was solely responsible for managing production and building out a CI pipeline. When I joined the project, their production deployment was nothing more than a bunch of ec2 instances on AWS, with no pipeline. When I exited the project, I had moved them over to GCP and deployed their api to a highly scalable kubernetes cluster on GKE easily capable of handling tens of thousands of concurrent users. I also built out full testing and staging environments that were completely automated via a Gitlab CI pipeline.
I have also done quite a bit of teaching and mentoring in my career, mostly either running workshops teaching debugging strategies, or doing 1-on-1 mentoring for software development. My workshop attendance was often very high, with all seats usually being full.
