After a whole career in the restaurant industry and a stint as a scuba diving instructor, I took the opportunity of the Covid pandemic to self-learn web development in 2020.

I started very basically with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and published a website for which I made a Stripe gateway integration in PHP. I also became a Linux user at the end of 2020. Learning PHP made me look at the WordPress ecosystem and I started making an income as a freelancer in mid-2021. I first made small customizations, and basic troubleshooting: 403/404 errors, DNS or SMTP misconfigurations, etc...

I learned jQuery, AJAX, plugin development, and OOP. I started getting bigger projects, especially with Elementor and/or Woocommerce sites.

I am well-organized, with a "get things done" mentality coupled with a high level of auto-exigence. I strive to write modern, lean, industry-standard code. When not working on a project, I scuba dive or go on motorbike trips, and continue self-educating, of course.

I'm currently learning Typescript and Python, and studying WP's Gutenberg code base.
