I’ve always been fascinated by numbers, and working in data analytics has been a long-term goal of mine. As a recent graduate of Mechanical Engineering with a strong interest in data-driven decision making,
I’m an analyst well-groomed and experienced in SQL, R, Python, and Business Intelligence/Visualization tools like Power BI and Tableau. During my year-long data analyst internship, I successfully managed and analyzed data from diverse sources, resulting in a 20% reduction in data cleaning time and a 15% improvement in data accuracy. I implemented data-driven insights that led to a 10% increase in sales conversion rates for our clients. I collaborated with cross-functional teams to deliver reports and visualizations that were instrumental in making decisions, resulting in a 25% reduction in project turnaround time. I also contributed to the development of automated data pipelines, increasing operational efficiency by 30% and reducing manual errors by 80%. More so, I developed strong problem-solving skills by diagnosing and resolving complex mechanical and electrical issues on aircraft during my internship as a Maintenance Engineer. I’ve been pursuing my passion for data, both at work and in my spare time and over the past years, I’ve also been able to achieve the following:
● Performed analysis on a Hotel Booking dataset using SQL and PowerBI which showed that City Hotel type generated the highest Revenue with about 54% of total Revenue likewise an increase in average daily rate and discount over the years
● Utilized Python on a customers’ dataset which I discovered that 54% of the Customers with highest spending and income were females and 60% of the lowest were also females.
· Analyzed an AirBnB sales dataset and Designed interactive visualizations using Tableau which showed that there was a Revenue Increase of almost 100% from winter to summer.
Completed the Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate, which included extensive coursework in SQL, R and Tableau
