Oluwatosin is a Chartered Accountant with 5 years of experience.
Since I began my professional career, I have been able to combine two passions of mine: Bookkeeping and financial statement analysis. The first is by posting journals and ledgers as a bookkeeper. The second is by preparing management accounts and annual financial accounts for analysis and audit purposes. I believe my experience in bookkeeping, financial reporting and analysis makes me an excellent candidate for the position.
My education has been framed by accounting and economics with a Chartered Accounting qualification and Upper Credit grade in my Economics degree. As a seasoned accounting professional, I avail myself of current IFRS and GAAP standards. Due to my updated knowledge of tax laws and accurate application of accounting principles, I have saved my employer from irrelevant payment of penalties on any form of taxes. I was recognized with the Managing Director Special Award of Excellence at my last employment.
In addition to my theoretical aspect of accounting concepts and principles, I have used accounting software including Sage 50, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Office tools, especially Microsoft Excel to prepare financial reports and analyze the report. As a finance manager for a shipping and logistics company, I created strategies and charts of accounts for appropriate reporting of financial statements.
During the early stages of my career, I had the opportunity to volunteer as an accountant for a non-profit organization. This experience provided me with valuable skills and knowledge that I continue to apply in my professional life.
