About

My skills are best summed up by my passion; I strive to serve creative brands using strong visuals, and I will use whatever method necessary to get there. I'm the type of worker who either knows how to get something done, or will figure it out along the way. As Marie Forleo says, "Everything is figure-out-able" (it's not a great word, but it is a great mindset).

My goal is to help others get the visual aspects of their business up and running, so they can focus on serving their clients. Once a client has officially booked branding or illustration services, the typical workflow takes us through Dubsado (my CRM of choice- organization is important!); Facetime (I've found that live client calls are the best way to make sure everyone feels seen and heard); Trello (I keep detailed lists for everything. Literally everything. I never want to miss an important step); good old fashioned pen and paper (to absorb pertinent details, sketch out any initial concepts, brainstorm, etc.); Adobe Illustrator (remember those sketches? This is where I turn them into clean and beautiful imagery); Adobe Photoshop (in order to present unified branding kits, mood boards, and other brand collateral); and when all is said and done... regular ol' e-mail! I do my best to have quick response times and genuine connection with everyone I work with, no matter what.

For photography (brands or otherwise), it's a pretty straight shot through Lightroom- I do know how to edit in Photoshop, but I am personally in love the process of trying to get it right in camera. It means less time wasted, and a much faster gallery delivery for the client.

As far as life outside of my Macbook goes- I am an absolute travel bug. I tend to go on big trips at least once a year, and I've always been a fan of seeing new places (and if we're totally honest here...I love the planning that goes into travel, too. Welcome back, Trello!). In college I travelled to nine different countries, last year my husband and I road tripped through six different states (all while planning our wedding! You could say I'm pretty good at managing multiple projects), and this year we're going back to Europe for our second round of backpacking. Through all of this, my best friends are AirBnB, Google Flights, and a simple map. Travel, just like branding or photography, is something that's best served with an adventurous heart and a can-do attitude.
