✱ Having a Passion for Languages and Non-profit, AHMED dedicates his life to making a difference in people’s lives around the world through words. “I believe in positive change no matter what the circumstances are around us.” says Ahmed. “One way I could really make a positive impact is through (The Words). One word can change someone's life. Words like chanjo (vaccination) help people in DRC protect themselves against Ebola and Smallpox. Words like ঘূর্ণিঝড় (cyclone) help Rohingya people in Bangladesh prepare for extreme weather. Words like الأمن (security) help speakers of Levantine Arabic communicate with humanitarian responders.”.

✱ AHMED has proudly contributed to translating and revising many documents, presentations, workshops, training manuals, and website localization (+350,000 words so far) for a variety of international NGO, humanitarian and non-profit organizations, including World Health Organization (WHO), War Child, Save the Children International, UNOCHA Geneva, UNDP Regional Arab States Bureau and others.

✪ AHMED's most recent translation/proofreading works are as follows: translation of a study related to ethnic and religious groups in the MENA region from Arabic to English for OHCHR ROMENA; translation from English into Arabic of Education for Justice (E4J) University Modules for UNODC’s Doha Declaration Programme; translation from Arabic into English of a training manual on community engagement on gender-based violence (GBV) for UNDP Regional Arab States Bureau; reviewing translation accuracy of UNDP Policy Document (UNDP CODE OF ETHICS - June 2020) in Arabic for UNDP RBLAC; translation of a report on the socioeconomic impact of COVID-19 on Bahrain (English to Arabic) for UNDP Bahrain; and Localizing (Arabic) the OpenWHO online training platform for the World Health Organization (WHO).
