Purchase of Job:
Scan, analyze and select suppliers of goods and services in order to negotiate and conclude multiyear supply contracts for the successful execution of the Business Plan in terms of total cost of ownership, quality, delivery and long-term sustainability of the Business.

Responsibilities include all engineering and technical procurement.
Risk assessments and supplier audits, Relationship Management.
Maintaining quality control plans in conjunction with the quality department to ensure we receive a quality product within the required delivery period (at the right price) to meet our production schedule.
Items procured include pressure vessels, all types of steel, precision machined items, engineering fabrication- coded and non coded, chemicals, machinery, conveyor systems, plastic injection moulding, pneumatic, hydraulic, steam, automation, instrumentation and electrical equipment, etc.
Strategic sourcing both locally and abroad. International procurement successfully completed in Germany, France, Taiwan, Finland, Sweden and the UAE amongst others.
Negotiation and supplier related reporting form part of the relationship maintenance/ cost reduction/ terms and conditions adaptation/ analysis work I do.
General Acknowledgements:
Achieved saving targets every year (doubled target requirement in 2011 and 2012).

Summary:
All my experience lies in the Defence and heavy engineering industry, I bring with me knowledge gained from procuring all military related items for different projects and contracts. I am positive that I can make a game changing contribution and be an asset to the Supply Chain team. I believe in a culture of “One team, one dream”, where we all work towards achieving goals. I managed 238 000 parts in 4 warehouses, 3700 suppliers and a budget of R500-700 million.
