Amber Parker

As an educator that has worked in multiple international schools, I understand the importance of creating quality content to reach students from all types of backgrounds.  I believe myself to be a very creative, detail oriented person, and throughout my career I have been able to tap into those qualities to design projects, activities, and lessons. It is my goal that anything I create for my students is engaging, garners their interest, and that develops skills both academically and personally. Furthermore, I am a writer at heart, which is why I love helping my ELA students become better writers, increase their vocabulary, and learn exceptional grammar skills.

In my classroom, I am the writer, the editor, and the teacher of everything I create, which allows me to bring a rich set of experiences to your team. That being said, although I may lack “writer” or “editor” in my prior job titles, I certainly don’t lack those skills when it comes to helping my students create meaningful content, and creating meaningful content myself for their lessons. 

As a very independent worker and organized person, I could use the skills that I have acquired throughout my careers in business and in education to strengthen your team. Furthermore, I have a passion for writing and editing content that I am wanting to explore outside of the classroom.

Spending time in and developing the skills for a variety of disciplines has given me a wealth of knowledge that I see as a great asset. I have a love and interest in working with international students and traveling. When living abroad, I always ensured to immerse myself into each culture, and I have developed a sense of cultural awareness and sensitivity because of this. I believe that my experiences abroad, experience as a teacher of international students, and experiences in different business aspects will all come together to create a successful independent contractor.
