Activities
My biggest attribute is my life experience. I love to travel and whilst travelling I like to immerse myself into real life routines. Through my experiences I have learnt to be adaptable, independent, and I have collected a vast array of knowledge.
After completing my GCSE’s I left England to live and work in Malta as a waitress, but after almost a year I decided to return home to England to go to college and get my diploma in Travel and Tourism. I really enjoyed my course and wanted to continue seeing the world, so I applied to Disney Cruise Line for a waitressing job. The cruise liner sailed around the East Coast of America, Canada, and the Bahamas. Once my contract ended, I continued to work in catering for a long time, working in restaurants, at events and working my way up to management. A couple of years later I moved to a different town. In this area there were a lot of opportunities to work as a Health Care Assistant with on the job training, leading to career change. I worked for Nurse Plus for a few years and got my NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care. After this I travelled around Thailand for a month. When I returned, I wanted to continue travelling so, I chose to move to Austria. I took a few language lessons to acquire a B2 German speaking ability and took a job with ABCi. ABCi was a non-profit organization offering “English Week” for Austrian schools, run by student teachers. Unfortunately, this company no longer exists. Since then I often travel back and forth between Austria and England, which is why I work online, mainly as a TEFL teacher, but also as a freelancer doing online based work such as transcribing and freelance writing.
