My name is Asunta Adeng Abur, I've held a steady job since the age of 19 where I worked as an after school teacher. Shortly after that I started working as a certified nurse assistance and did that for about two years. I switched from being a CNA to being an ophthalmologist tech. In 2015, I moved to my home country of South Sudan and worked there as an officer manager for the Presidential medical unit, then on to Mother to Child Transmission officer at the National Ministry of Health. 2016 war broke out in South Sudan and I went back to the States where I made the decision to go back to school. As of last month I set for my last exam obtaining my bachelors in international relations.
