About

Hello! Thank you for taking the time to check out my profile, I hope my skills and experience match your needs.

My name is Lynn, and I am an editor, writer and UX specialist with many years of both personal and professional experience. The vast majority of my professional life has been focused on customer affect and success; the customer may not always be right, but there's a reason they think/feel the way they do, and I want to know! Learning the ins and outs of the customer mindset enables you to get the easy to achieve big wins, keeping the customer loyal and the employees comfortable.

Experience:

Most notably, I have run my own editing and publishing consultancy since 2008. Through this company, I have had the pleasure of working on multiple marketing campaigns, a large number of dissertations and pieces preparing for formal publication, several helpdesks (including doing live one-on-on training for customers via Skype), providing voice overs and captioning, consulting on the design of a brand new IVR system for a major mail order pharmacy, and more.

In the traditional realm, I tend to gravitate towards customer service jobs, whether they be in providing direct services to the public, or manning the IT help line for a major telecommunications company. I have an extensive amount of experience in retail and insurance administration. My job history has led me to required training in the handling of financial transactions, medical information and personal identity information. Best of all, I'm the type of person who is really eager to learn new things and thus, anything I don't already know, I'm ready to rise to the challenge!

Availability:

I am currently available around the clock and looking for a placement that would provide full-time level compensation. Alternative/flexible/non-traditional schedules are just fine with me. I am comfortable answering calls to an extent, though I would like to avoid being part of a WFH call center. Let me know what you need and how you see the future.

Compensation:

Regarding rate of pay, I am looking for a decent living wage with a little wiggle room, just like anyone. I put $20/hr in the slot, but if your position is a little lower than that, feel free to reach out; It's not a hard line in the sand.
