Elisafan Wathuo

I am a software developer with 2 years of professional experience. Having worked for Turnkey Africa, a software developing company in Nairobi that provides software solutions to Financial organizations across Africa, I have gained skills in large projects management and software development using languages such as Java, Python and JavaScript and frameworks including Java Spring, Python Django, TensorFlow, React JS and React Native. I am also competent in HTML, CSS and BootStrap.

During my time at Turnkey, I worked as part of a team delivering insurance software to clients across Africa in countries such as Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana and Zambia. I was part of the Life insurance department and was tasked in developing new features of the Life insurance software and maintaining existing versions of it. In details, I was involved in the Underwriting, Policy Servicing, Claims, Agent Commissions, Client Data entry and Insurance products setups modules. 

Asides my professional experience, I am always looking to better my coding skills. This has ended up with me being involved in personal projects such as Using NLTK to try and source traffic data from user tweets on Twitter.
