SEMINARS ATTENDED § Certified Pest Control Applicators Seminars – this is a yearly seminar for licensed pest control applicator and licensed pest control owner. This seminar is handled by the Pest Control Association of the Philippines to renew the licenses of all pest control companies and to keep them updated on what is happening in the economy and the effect of it in the industry. § Seminar on Effective Business Writing – Equitable CardNetwork, Inc., 2003: this is a 2-day seminar for all employees of ECN. This is done by batches and is scheduled monthly. This is to better equip all employees to answer letter or emails to the point but politely and grammatically correct. RESEARCH PAPERS § Strategic Paper on The Bodyshop – MBA requirement, First Semester, SY-: This is a strategic management paper for The Bodyshop. It analyzes the industry that Bodyshop belongs to. It analyzes the competitiveness of the industry and the changes that they will face in the coming 5 years. From these analysis, objectives and strategies will be made and the step by step implementation of theses strategies. It also covers the management changes that the company should undergo to implement the strategies effectively. § Refresher Papers – MBA requirement, First Semester, SY-: These are 7 research papers either the same subjects but analyzing different aspect of the business. This is a requirement before a student can take electives and their thesis or oral comprehensive exam. A student has to analyze a company or industry in each paper. The 7 papers are: review the company in terms of its management technique in production; analyze the status of the company in terms of the given financial result; look at the problems of the company in terms of its management of its employees; problems in production itself; foresee the industry in the future given our present economy; compute the balance sheet and income statement of the company and analyze its problem; lastly, to make a marketing plan for the chosen company or a new company that I have in mind. § Relocation of People living along Pasig River (Manila area) to Rodriguez, Rizal – Thesis, 2nd Semester SY-: Our thesis was done with partner. We had surveys and interviews done to have data. We also visit them daily to know them well and know their insights on what is happening. We also went to Manila City Hall and other government agencies that are included in the relocation project in order to know the complete plan of government to the people. § Management of Metrobank Foundation – Subject requirement, First Semester, SY-: As a requirement for one of our major subjects, we were grouped and our group decided to make a study of the Foundation of Metrobank. We did a research starting from the organizational chart until to those who are they helping. We did a complete report and study of all the departments and what the Foundation is doing and contributing in the economy. § Projects of GABRIELLA – Subject requirement, First Semester, SY-: This is a group paper. We have a one-week visit with the NGO and did interviews on their projects and the head of each project. We learned the reason behind each project and the cost of each project and the dedication of the people behind GABRIELLA. PERSONAL INFORMATION I was born in December 8, 1978 in Quezon City. I am the eldest in the family, 5’4” in standing and weighing 140lbs. Married with one child and a Filipino citizen. Fluent in English and Filipino and can speak basic French. I am knowledgeable in Windows Operating System and Internet Explorer. A quick learner and always in quest of knowing more. My driving skills are moderate for automatic and beginner for manual transmission. I enjoy playing table tennis, badminton, tennis, bowling and billiards even though I’m not good at them. It is because it keeps me fit. I love reading pocketbooks especially romantic novels, thrillers or mysteries. I like surfing the net or watching series on DVD when I’m not doing anything.
