Folabit Lena Novel is an educational researcher in higher education policies, leadership policies and practices, curriculum development and implementation, academic professional identities, research methodologies (a mixed-methods approach), and a teacher with a decade of experience. Her mission is to conduct research on higher education studies, policies, and development.
Lena recently completed a PhD in Higher Education Studies at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. She holds a Masters in Higher Education Studies from the University of Yaounde II, Cameroon, and a B.Ed. in Curriculum Studies and Teaching from the University of Buea, Cameroon.
She has worked on different education-related projects with different student organizations, both in Africa and globally.
As an academic professional, she has worked as a school administrator, where she managed the institution's administrative department, academic activities, and leadership structure. In her different occupations, she learned that the best way to achieve success is to motivate the resources that one has with well-defined objectives and empowerment. A management belief based on integrity, quality, and service, along with a positive attitude, an aptitude for strategic thought and planning, and the ability to adapt quickly to new ideas and situations, allows her to achieve consistent and significant successes in multiple industries.
