Gisel Olivares

I’m a 26-year-old content creator, curator, and editor living in Paris, France and working remotely for U.S. companies. I was born in the Dominican Republic and moved to the United States when I was two years old. New York City, the heart of Inwood to be precise, was my home for 16 years.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication from Florida International University where I completed a track in Public Relations and a minor in Business. Since graduating from FIU I held a graphic design internship and a couple of administrative positions. Then decided that enough was enough. I participated in the PINC International program and went abroad to Madrid, Spain for two months where I held a Marketing Assistant internship at Ebualá Media during the summer of 2015. During my time there I traveled to the “Enchanted City” in Cuenca, Valencia, Barcelona, Paris (for the second time), Dublin, Tunis, and Ibiza.

Upon returning to Miami, I held a Copywriting internship with Venue Magazine, while working as an Executive and Marketing Assistant at M2Brands Inc. (now known as The Brand Effect). I kept my job at M2Brands Inc., and after a couple of months, I transitioned into the role of Social Media Manager where I worked for over a year. I moved to Paris with my husband while working remotely for them during the summer of 2016.
