About

Hello. My name is Grigory Demchenko, I am from Russia and I am a full-stack web developer.

I learned to code by myself, by watching online lectures and courses, but mostly by just following examples and trying to build stuff myself. I know PHP, JS, CSS and HTML. PHP is probably my strongest language, because it is the one I enjoy the most. I like the creative nature of it, the problems you have to solve with it are usually quite unique and require you to come up with unique solutions. JS is probably my weakest language, because for the longest time I didn't get the general structure of it, until the whole DOM model was finally explained to me by a friend.

I feel like with my web programming I got to a point where it is no longer interesting for me to just sit and work on small problems I come up with for myself, and I am more then capable to take big interesting projects. I am not very experienced, I am just starting with this (the whole thing started for me about a year and a half ago), but I feel that at this point I have strong enough base so I can learn as I go.

I have only completed one project so far. It was supposed to be a website that would allow french med-students to communicate with their proffesors during quorantine in a question-answer format. Something like a Q&A forum. Sadly, it did not end up actually being used, because apparently it was too hard to make old proffesors use it. So now it has a bunch of questions, but no answers. Muraculasly, it is still up. Here is the link.

I can also provide you with a source code if you are interested.

Keep in mind that I made 90% of it in only four days, and after that I only polished visual stuff and added some bug-fixes. Every letter of the code is mine, as I do not find it interesting to use someone else's code. The design here was given to me by my employee. I'm not saying it to escape responsibility for the design, I actually quite like it's minimalism and practicality.

I work hard and appreciate any opportunity I can get, and I look forward to work on you project.
