Heather Ewert

I am a part time teacher and part time traveller who is looking for a remote position that will allow me to continue doing all the things I enjoy. As a teacher, I feel that I have a number of interpersonal skills including, but not limited to: communication (personal and digital), reliability, positivity, active listening and working both independently and part of a team. As a traveller, I have been exposed to many different countries and cultures which has allowed me to interact with all different kinds of people. This has greatly improved and enhanced my communication skills.

I have also started my very own travel blog which has provided me with a number of online skills including, but not limited to: Wordpress, Google, research, social marketing and media, photography and writing based on current needs. I am constantly researching different cities and countries around the world when planning my next adventures and posting via my blog, Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram during and post adventures. I am an extremely organised person who relies on planning and research whether it is in the classroom, writing my blog or planning any future travel.

Through my planning and booking my travels, I have developed a number of online computer skills. Some of these skills include: making travel arrangements through a variety of websites, organising visas for countries that require them, comparing and contrasting different companies (for flights, accommodations or activities) through research and to be able to organise an exact travel plan using Excel spreadsheets and calendars.

In all of my previous job experiences, I feel that I have become very efficient with time management. Whether it is planning daily, weekly and monthly lesson plans in the classroom, or planning how to research, write and publish content on my website. I am able to be flexible and productive with my time.

Overall, I feel that I am a strong communicator, self-motivated, disciplined, tech savvy and have excellent time management skills. These skills I feel are crucial and relevant to a number of different remote, online positions that I would be interested in.
