Part of team developing a patient and provider portal for medical practices. System was to be used to book appointments and submit claims. As a QA analyst on the team primary role was to conduct manual testing, prepare test cases, review defects and run quality reports. Reported to a senior QA Test Team lead.
Key Responsibilities:
In an “Agile” environment, attended daily standup meetings, reviewed user stories and updated standard defect reports.
Worked with other QA members of the team to re-test defects and coordinate work. Often asked to fill in for other team members who were away.
QA team was mainly based in Atlanta with other members being remote. One of 6 team members who took a regular turn being responsible for conducting QA scrum every morning and documenting meeting minutes and actions. Used Google Docs and Spreadsheet to maintain team issues.
Designed and developed Test Plan based on BRD and User Stories.
Developed and Executed Test Cases using the VersionOne Tool.
Tested all major modules – Patient Management, Doctor, Admin and Insurance Claims.
Validated the connection and data between Admin web services and Insurance claims web services.
Wrote and executed simple SQL queries and Joins. Work validated and sometimes completed by senior team lead.
