As a Senior Research & Development Engineer, designing and developing
Cardiology and Critical Care embedded systems for Maestros Mediline
Systems Ltd. (MMSL), Navi Mumbai.
Worked as Senior R & D executive developing embedded systems (GUIs,
applications, test programs etc.) using C language and Linux. Worked on 8051,
ARM 7 and ARM 9 based controllers like P89V51RDXX, LPC 2136, LPC2138,
Samsung S3C2410 etc., using workbenches like IAR systems, KEIL and compilers
like gcc, to develop Single-Para and Multi-Para Patient Monitors, ECG Machines,
Defibrillators, Spirometry systems, Medical Data Acquisition Systems, POS Terminals
etc.
Part of work included:
(1) Assisting seniors in business to technical mapping.
(2) Guiding junior team members in research and development activities i.e. team
management and development.
(3) Demonstration of new software systems to sales and service engineers
(4) Providing support to technical support staff viz. service engineers in resolution of
system issues.
(5) Testing: Black Box as well as White Box testing including Unit testing, Integration
Testing, System Testing.

Abstract
A series of machines developed to monitor patient’s ECG, Heart
Rate, Respiration, Temperature, SpO2 (Blood Oxygen Saturation),
NIBP (Non-Invasive Blood Pressure), IBP (Invasive Blood Pressure),
EtCO2 (End Tidal Carbon Dioxide). Various permutations and
combinations of parameters were provided in each machine.

Simulated Computed Axial Tomography
With the aim of developing an aid for explaining the constructional and functional principles of a
Computed Tomography system, a simulator for the same was developed as a part of the B.E.
Project. The knowledge gained in the course hitherto such as principles of mechanics,
electronics, optics etc. were utilized in the implementation of the project.
