Jacopo Genovese

Starting from January I worked in the Embassy of Italy in Seoul, in the Commercial and Economic Cooperation Office. I analysed Korean trade with foreign countries, studying import and export relationships and global trade and I was focused on Korean financial market trends and currencies exchange rate, especially about Korean Won reaction to US monetary policy. Further, I studied the cryptocurrency frenzy phenomenon and how this affects investments and how blockchain technology will impact financial and business world.

Previously, on October 2017 I graduated in MSc in Finance and Banking at University of Rome “Tor Vergata” with a final dissertation in Asset Management on “Portfolio optimization including alternative investments in East Asia”, blending traditional securities with alternative assets, namely real estate investment funds. I carried on my research thesis in China and South Korea, namely at Soongsil University in Seoul and at the Capital University of Economics and Business in Beijing as independent research fellow.
