As a former UK journalist at publications including Hair, Wedding, More and Look. I have the knowledge and expertise needed to produce interesting, engaging and interactive content. I most recently spent a year in NZ working in the sports and travel industry doing lead generation as the Marketing Manager for Educating Adventures bringing in 300 leads a week for their Ski Instructor company and 50 a week for the School Tours part of the business too. I generated leads through Facebook advertising, email newsletters sent with affiliate websites as well as Google ad-words and adverts on affiliate websites too. I maintained the 300 leads a week whilst increasing the company’s social media presence on Facebook by 50%. I did this by creating fun, engaging videos on YouTube and using industry links to promote the brand and products. Nemo Workroom, Part-Time Social Media Manager, NZ: April 16 – Nov 16 I create content for all of the brands under the workroom umbrella including Nemo workroom, Omen menswear and Nemo Bridal. I create social media posts for Facebook, Instagram and Twitter and also edit and write website content too. I love this job but I’m now looking for a full time role and unfortunately they can’t offer me any more hours. UPAD Glassworks Sales & Marketing Executive: July – Nov 15 – Newcastle, UK I took up a temporary role with Upad Glassworks to help them launch a new student accommodation site in Newcastle upon Tyne. We arranged meetings with local universities and worked along side them to create marketing materials for the students. Along with managing the sales of flats and rooms, I created social media content across Facebook and Twitter. Mentally Friendly Social Media Community Manager: Feb – May 2015 – London, UK I had a short-term contract to work for Mentally Friendly on the Schwarzkopf account covering the brands got2b, LIVE colour and Schwarzkopf UK. In this time I delivered online digital strategy, created content, managed websites, prepared and presented reports. I also organised a film shoot for Schwarzkopf at London Fashion Week and produced all of the press and social media content around this. Yogalilies Social Media & Events Manager: April 14 – Oct 15 - Newcastle When I arrived at Yogalilies they had no online marketing strategy so I went about creating and implementing one that would work in a small city with a niche market. Thankfully it went well, as I took their Twitter account from 20 followers to 1,200. I also increased sales by 30%. I organised press and public events for the studio and linked them with other local business. Style Pärla Magazine Editor: June 12 – Dec 14 – London I started an online magazine along with two other freelancers and we gained advertising from Paul Mitchell, Rosie Fox and the Comedy Café London along with many more. We closed the publication due to a co-founder leaving. This was a great experience and improved my finance and people skills. Gift Library: Web Writer and Stylist Oct 2011 – May 2012 I styled up products for the still life photo-shoots and wrote copy for the website including product descriptions as well as 'Editors Picks' which were the Founders must have buys from the website. I also re-sized images and assisted with promotions. Hair magazine, Senior Beauty Editor: 2009 – 2011 I wrote and commissioned articles and shoots for both the print magazine and online platforms. Working with the web design, marketing and sales teams. I helped to increase our relationship through targeted campaigns.
