Jessica Horton

I am an extremely passionate and diligent young writer specialising in blog writing, creative & research-based articles and social media marketing. I have previously worked for Pacific Magazines, creating and editing content for both Total Girl & Gilfriend magazines. I then progressed to complete a Bachelor of Arts degree at Monash University, during which I completed a plethora of academic research papers and graduated with a high-distinction average.

After University, I went on to launch and manage Melbourne's most calorific food blog 'Cheat Yo'Self', writing creative content, unique recipes & managing both its Facebook & Instagram pages. In my professional life, I am employed full-time at a global FMCG company in marketing & social media (Jan 2017 - present).

When it comes to my writing, whilst I thrive on taking on new challenges and undertaking new research to grow my repertoire, my biggest interests lie in beauty & fashion, food, dining and travel. In my extensive writing experience, I have refined a vast repertoire of styles including satirical, persuasive, comical, descriptive, fictional and expository.

I pride myself on being diligent, open-minded and extremely responsive. My work is an extension and a reflection of myself, and I will never submit anything I consider less than perfect.
