Joan Sareno

I am currently working as an English lecturer in one of the universities here in Thailand. I have been in this institution for almost seven years. Prior to this job, I worked as a Collection Specialist in an American based company. My job mainly entails communicating with the clients such as Apple, Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters etc pertaining to the services we provide such as e-book services. I contact the accountants of these well-known and big companies either via email or over the phone. I send them invoices every month and also enter the payments we receive in the Accounts Receivable file. I work hand-in-hand with the Billing Analysts and also the Billing and Collection Manager in our department to ensure a smooth flow of all transactions. I also worked for two years as a call centre agent in the Philippines. I was later on promoted as an Escalation agent assigned to take supervisory calls. I attend to customers by answering queries and offering them payment options to settle any outstanding dues for their mortgage accounts.
