Julia Windsor

My research and career interests lie in the analysis and visualization of data related to issues of urban sustainability, conservation, climate change, and environmental planning. I am eager to network with experienced data analysts, urban planners, and conservationists regarding forward-thinking, innovative solutions to creating an informed public and actionable sustainability goals.

I have a background in data analysis, GIS, statistics, environmental science, and urban sociology. I am a recent graduate of UC Berkeley's Masters in Landscape Architecture and Environmental Planning program. My thesis focused on quantifying geometric characteristics of the urban landscape which may influence flood susceptibility, via 2D shallow water equation models and multiple pair-wise ANOVAs. My Bachelor’s degree is in Environmental Science and Urban Studies, with a thesis focusing on using GIS suitability analysis for locating stormwater green infrastructure.

I am a keen advocate for water conservation and spent summer of 2019 interning with American Rivers working on renovating their data management and visualizing available data on water quality throughout Central California.
