I've had a few experiences when it comes to pumping design. Projects I've come across:-

1. R&D for centrifugal pump (End Suction pump and Self-Priming pump).

2. Using Autodesk Simulation CFD for pump flow analysis for the purpose of further improvement on impeller and volute casing.

3. Using Autodesk Simulation CFD to improve piping design through elimination of turbulence area. Experienced in handling projects for various industries including oil & gas and water treatment plant.

4. Perform pump shaft dimension calculation to meet allowable deflection accordance to ISO5199.

5. Perform pump casing thickness calculation to meet ASME standard.

6. Perform FEA for structural design by using Autodesk Inventor.

7. Provide analysis/ troubleshooting services for client’s pump on site.

8. Assist customers in deciding on the choice of pump (close to BEP point) which best suit their requirement through calculation on piping/fitting loss and generation of system curve for customer.

9. Verify system's pump performance using Portable Ultrasonic Flow Meter and perform comparison with pump performance guaranteed by manufacturer. Projects handled include firefighting system in complying NFPA 20 standards.

10. Set up/design pump testing facility layout and upgrade to fully automated control test rig accordance to ISO9906/Hydraulic Institute Standard.

11. Conduct physical in house pump test to verify pump performance (Total Head, Shaft Power & Hydraulic Efficiency vs Flow Rate) & NPSHr. Provide third party witness test services for the purpose of SPAN approval.

12. Conduct reverse engineering for pump using Autodesk Simulation CFD. Projects handled include refurbishment and reliability improvement on pumps to suit customer's new requirement.
