After living in Los Angeles, working as a musician, around 2010/2011 I started teaching myself basic HTML/CSS/JS and PHP, of course, after discovering WordPress. I began making sites for local clients at first and then finally finding more on the web. I developed countless sites using custom themes as well as adapting existing themes. After a while, I started selling my own themes on various marketplaces and eventually my own website.
While still developing sites for clients, around 2018 I got the itch to try my hand at developing mobile games. I started trying out different game engines based on different languages which really helped further my programming abilities.
After submitting some of my games to various mobile game publishers I landed a prototyping contract with Voodoo. They publish many of the top charting free to play hyper casual mobile games in the App Store and Google Play store.
Rapid prototyping is a big part of what they do and that kind of work really helped me further my programming skills in general. You learn a lot when you complete a lot of projects in a small amount of time and start moving onto something completely different.
