Assistant System Engineer, November, 2014 – August, 2017
Role – Database Administrator, Technology – Netezza warehouse and MongoDB
Tuning the Netezza Appliance and MongoDB database so that both the
database can give perfect performance 24x7.
Checking log files for identifying the problem, finding the root cause analysis
of the problem and fixing it so that the database server can give seamless
performance.
Analyzing the database server performance based on the data collected via
shell script which is scheduled to run at a fix interval of time like disk scan
speed, query performance during the peak hour, checking whether there is
any long running query for the Netezza database, etc.
Writing the automated script for the maintenance work for both Netezza and
MongoDB, so that the maintenance jobs are performed automatically during
the scheduled time. The maintenance jobs include Backup, Groom and
Generating Statistics for Netezza warehouse server and Backup and
compaction for MongoDB server.
Creating
User,

groups,

Collections(MongoDB), assigning privileges to user and user groups.
Working closely with IBM support team for Netezza Warehouse to manage
any hardware fault or setting up downtime for the software upgrade of
Netezza Warehouse application.
Setting up events in the Netezza such that the things can be proactively
monitored like failure of hardware, Disk crossing the threshold size, Hardware
is unreachable for the give amount of time etc.
We also write JAVA and JSP code for TCS internal reporting tools which ease
out the month-end reporting.

Consider a scenario, where you just moved into the city and you need a LPG gas
subscription. This website provides the platform to find and subscribe the authorized LPG
seller. The service included the registration of a person with LPG seller, paying bills
online, ordering the LPG online etc.
Hospital Management System for University Major Project

This system simplifies the daily day-to-day activity of the hospital like keeping the log of
patients, track of medicine, track of all the staffs working for hospital, keeping track of
medical records of all the patient etc. The software also had the extended ability to work
in the client-server setup.
ACHIEVEMENTS
For the IBM TGMC competition, our projects were selected for the India’s top 30
project.
I was awarded 5-star rating in the TCS ILP (Initial Learning Program) Training.
I was selected for differential training program in TCS, where my training was held
for only 50 working days where in general TCS training program was held for 60
working days.
