I am a student at the University of Michigan pursuing a dual-degree in Film, Television, & Media and International Studies with a focus on human rights and foreign affairs. I currently serve as the General Manager at WOLV-TV (the University of Michigan’s student-run television station) and work on independent films with my peers and young professionals around Southeastern Michigan. I am proud to say that several of my short films have been award-winners in national film competitions including Awards of Recognition in the Women Filmmaker's categories at the Independent Shorts Awards and Best Shorts Competitions. These projects have also been screened at film festivals around the United States including the Hell's Half Mile Film & Music Festival, Detroit SheTown Film Festival, and the Orlando Film Festival. In the future, I hope to combine my love of media with my knowledge of human rights to use video production as a means of expanding empathy and enacting social change.
