Lorna Horgan

I am a highly motivated Marketeer with 3 years' experience working in the Tourism and Higher Education industries. I specialise in digital marketing and have exemplified my outstanding social media marketing skills by my work being used as international best practice for engaging third level students on social media (First Seven Weeks 2017). I am a self-starter who enjoys giving every project I work on my full dedication. This has been proven by my achievement as a finalist in the Network Ireland Businesswoman of the Year Awards 2020, for the Transformative Employee category. I have a 2:1 Bachelor's Degree in New Media and English with a certificate in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages), and am currently completing a Level 9 Specialist Diploma in Marketing Management. I completed my study abroad for 6 months at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and completed my Internship as Co-Operative Administrative Assistant at the Regional Writing Centre at the University of Limerick.

I have a keen eye for detail and receive great satisfaction out of working as a team. I am an excellent communicator in oral, written and aural settings, which I perfected through my degree in English and in my roles as a Writing Tutor and Module Leader. I enjoy volunteering and have many years' experience volunteering in my school, community, university and personal life. I currently volunteer as Social Media Officer for Network Ireland Limerick branch, and organisation for women in business. I am currently seeking Marketing opportunities in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
