Marvin M. Monteagudo

I am a full-stack web developer with 18+ years of experience in developing web sites and data-driven web applications, and 5+ years in managing IT projects with local and remote teams.

As a developer, I am highly proficient with PHP as the main language. Because I mostly created my earlier projects (2010 and earlier) using raw PHP, I am pretty comfortable any new framework based on it. My current favorites are Laravel and Wordpress, although I also dabble in Yii, CodeIgniter and Prestashop.

As an IT Project Manager, I am comfortable enough to manage a team working remotely or locally. I usually base my workflow from scrum. I do regular meeting cycles using skype, daily standups using slack, consolidate bug reporting and progress tracking using JIRA, and manage project repositories using Bitbucket.

On the side, I am a graduate student taking up my Doctorate in Information Technology, with concentration on Information Systems Interoperability and Application of Data Science in Blended Learning. I also teach Computer Science at a local university here.

I am a highly-proficient English speaker, having been in the game for 20 years already.
