- Prepared infrastructure for ongoing migration, PHP code using Oracle, Apache WebServer, Solr to Java
code using Resin as webserver, MySQL (Master-N Slaves setup), Solr, Memcached and HAProxy. Every
service highly available (Solr Replica, Haproxy using heartbeat)
- Upgraded the whole infrastructure for growing demands including a 6 nodes Cassandra cluster, Redis
cluster and Kafka + Zookeeper for events.
- Monitoring was done using Nagios with a bunch of own written plugins in bash and also python scripts for
performance monitoring.
In the last two years we've worked on implementing virtualization and automating services provisioning. First
we started using KVM + Chef + custom made scripts to provide IaaS to Dev teams. As the growing demand
went on, migration to Openstack started instead of single KVM instances.

The Infrastructure handled consisted of 150+ physical servers and more than 300 virtual servers, including
preproduction and testing environments.
- Regarding network, I've implemented firewalls (Cisco ASA), divided LANs for storage, backup and virtual
servers and restructure the vpns for comunication between offices and our datacenter cages.
- Team work was managed using Jira and documentation on Confluence.
- Migrated RealEstate branch sites to AWS EC2 and then from AWS to our private Infrastructure.
