Maurizio Bergmann

I was born and raised in Italy, I started my education first in Art School and then completed it by graduating in Sound design at the European Institute of Design (IED ROMA).

My first steps into the profession were as an audio engineer in recording studios, but I soon realized that moving pictures were much more inspiring to me, so eventually I got involved in more and more indie Films and Italian TV commercials as composer.

2013 I moved to Berlin to start working at BLUWI Studios (meanwhile known as NOT A MACHINE and BLUT AUDIO) where I ended up being in-house composer and sound designer for almost 5 years. Within those years I collected in depth experience in various audio fields: from scoring cartoons and composing for major brands (Mercedes, VW, McDonald’s..), to sound design for major brands (Goretex, Puma, BMW...) and sound design for immersive projects (sound design for the “Märchenwelt Museum Hamburg” including implementation on 7.1 systems and VR spaces).

2019 I joined KARMA AUDIO (Lead Sound designer), an Audio Production Company based in Munich focused on audio content for audio visual and interactive media, You can check our website to see some works we did:

My personal goal is to work full time on audio game design, so now I spend most of my time by developing sound within FMOD in Unity with my team.
