Deputy Compact Administrator for the Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children (ICPC) has the responsibility for developing, analyzing and implementing policies directly related to increasing permanency for children. This position has direct responsibility for all policy relating to the federal and state ICPC program. Additionally, this position is delegated by the commissioner in approving placements to facilitate the movement of children across state lines.
Promotes the goals, priorities and policies of the Commissioner of Human Services
Provide administrative oversight and review of ICPC requests and placements into and out of Minnesota.
Direct the day-to-day operations of the Minnesota ICPC office to ensure an efficient and effective work process, including the appropriate dissemination and storage of confidential and private information.
Work with all 53 jurisdictional members of the compact in addition.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with all 87 Minnesota counties and private agencies in Minnesota to comply with the policies and procedures as it directly relates to the compact.
Ensure and facilitate compliance with the compact in accordance with Minnesota Statutes and Rules by reviewing and analyzing the work of county and private agencies.
Consult with other internal Divisions and agencies within the State regarding policies and procedures as it directly relates to the Interstate Compact, adoption and foster care.
Utilize database system to record and track all Interstate requests. Pull data from systems to provide reports for legislation and media requests.
Compose and present training and documentation for public use and dissemination regarding the Interstate process such as VPC trainings, face to face trainings, bulletins and workgroups with stakeholders.
