About

After finishing an associate computer course in college, I went to a training center for call center agents known as Call Center Academy. This experience paved my way to the BPO and call center industries.

First job I had was appointment setting. Main responsibility is lead generation; calling a bunch of phone numbers from pages of lists. After 2 months, I moved up to becoming a closer. It basically is someone who receives prospective calls or do call backs to those businesses who show interest in what we're offering.

Second job I had was technical chat support. It was an invention called MagicJack; a USB dongle that lets you make unlimited calls all throughout USA, Canada, and some US territories. Main responsibility is to assist customers who seek technical help through the chat window. Aside from that I also do customer service basically by answering customer inquiries and concerns.

Months in between these jobs I also worked as a banquet waiter in a hotel, mostly on call that's why it never became a regular job. I guess the responsibility is quite obvious. This may not have any connection with the job that I am applying right now, but this is just to let you know how hardworking I am. I used to work 12 hours a day as a waiter but since I like the job, it didn't matter to me how long the work hours were and minimal the pay was.

Next job I had is data entry specialist. Well, they call us transaction processors but the job is definitely similar to data entry. Main responsibility is to encode data from scanned documents into a database system. This job made me a faster typist than I was. I reached 60 wpm average with this job. On a couple days every week, I am one of the selected few who makes calls to certain clinics and hospitals to follow up on patients' statuses.

Then finally, I worked for Caesars Entertainment, a casino company in the US. Main responsibility is to book as many reservations for guests but of course, we also answer questions and inquiries. I was part of the first wave on this campaign. After my first two months, I became a floor support for the next five waves that hit the floor. I was trained for an additional skill after couple months and finally became one of the first agents to handle the most important market for the company, the Las Vegas skill.

I've been working as a General Virtual Assistant for quite some time now. I can highlight some of my skills that will benefit you. I am familiar with Data entry, WordPress, email management, social media marketing, word processing and customer support (answering inquiries through email).
